Senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in Mercer County who need to obtain a free ID for voting purposes to meet the requirements of the new state law that will be in place this November, but don’t have transportation, can schedule a ride at a nominal cost to the PennDOT license center in Mercer by calling Mercer County Community Transit at 724-981-6222. License center hours of operation, as well as any additional requirements for obtaining the ID, should be confirmed prior to making transit arrangements by calling PennDOT at 1-800-932-4600.
