THE COUNTY CHANGED ITS INTERNET PROVIDER FROM VERIZON TO ARMSTRONG ON MONDAY, SEPT. 20, 2008.

 

THE RECORDER’S OFFICE SEARCH WAS NOT CHANGED, OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY; HOWEVER, IT HAS AFFECTED OUR CUSTOMERS IN VIEWING IMAGES. AS OF TODAY, OCTOBER 1, IT HAS BEEN FIXED.

 

SINCE A NEW IP ADDRESS HAS BEEN ASSIGNED, IT AFFECTED OUR LICENSING, AND THEREFORE, YOU MUST RE-DO YOUR CONNECTIONS. THIS SHOULD ONLY OCCUR THE FIRST TIME.

SUGGESTIONS:

 

  • Delete the County website from your favorites. You must re-type the complete address in the internet window www.mercercountypa.gov
  • Click on Start, then Control Panel, then tools, internet options; then in Browsing History, select “delete”, then “delete all history”.
  • Make sure java is installed on your pc. Free download at www.java.com

Install the latest version, then remove all others under control panel, add/remove programs. (Version 5 does not work well with Cott, so remove it and install the latest version.)

  • Be sure the pop-up blocker is turned off.
  • If you are prompted to “always trust” Deaja, you must select “always” If not, you will not see images. If you previously pressed no, then you may not be prompted to trust the software again. You may have to call Cott Systems Help Desk, so that they can walk you through it. Tell them that you are one of the people who has not been able to view images on the Mercer County, PA website—1.800.588.2688
