    The Mercer County Bridge Department is responsible for design, construction, and inspection of County owned infrastructure such as Bridges.

    Through collaboration with the community, Mercer County Children and Youth Services will assess children and families that are at risk of child abuse or neglect. Mercer County Children and Youth Services will focus on family strengths to provide quality services to protect children and provide them with permanency, safety, and well-being. Mercer County Children and Youth Services will educate the community on what constitutes child abuse/neglect and how cultural and socio-economic factors impact children and families.

    The facility has a maximum holding capacity of 310 inmates, with an average daily population of 160. Their objective is to operate and maintain a humane and secure facility, while keeping the community safe. They also provide treatment and educational services to assist the population with re-entry into the community.     Mercer County MH/ID Department is uniquely set up to assist in offering guidance to innovative services and support to the local community. This department holds the oversight of the contractual relationship with the Behavioral Health Commission. This unique relationship allows Mercer County residents to access mental health, intellectual disability, autism and early intervention services by contacting the Intake and Assessment Department of Behavioral Health Commission.

    We are responsible for putting a value on real property for tax purposes. This value does not represent the market value of your property. The value this office gives to each property will generate the tax amount for County Government, Local Government & School Districts. Other duties of the office include the maintenance of all real estate and personal records, updating, revisions, analyzing deed transfers in reference to mapping, reviewing existing construction and correspondence and personal contact with the public.

    The Mercer County Tax Claim Bureau is responsible for the collection of all delinquent real estate taxes for the school districts and the city, township and boroughs situated in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. PLEASE NOTE: The Mercer County Tax Claim Bureau does not collect current-year real estate taxes. All current-year real estate taxes should be paid to the local tax collector for your district.
