In Pennsylvania, you can vote before Election Day with a mail ballot.

Requesting a Mail Ballot
In order to vote a mail ballot, you must complete a Mail in Ballot Application by the Tuesday before the election.

You can request a mail ballot online here:

https://www.pa.gov/en/agencies/vote/voter-support/mail-in-and-absentee-ballot.html

or you can call the Elections Office at 724-662-7542 and we will mail you a form. Forms are also available at most public libraries, post offices, and municipal offices, and senior centers.

Ballots are typically mailed to voters 21 days before the election.

Voting Over the Counter Before Election Day

A voter can come to our office, request a mail-in ballot over the counter, and then vote a mail-in ballot. Mercer County typically conducts over the counter voting between 21 days and 7 days before the election at our office: 130 North Pitt Street, Suite B, Mercer, 16137 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

If a person requested a ballot before the 7 day cutoff, they can vote over the counter through the Friday before the election.

Assistance from a Third Party
If you have a disability that prevents you from applying in person for your mail ballot, picking up a mail in ballot from our office, or delivering your mail ballot, you may designate an agent to deliver your ballot materials for you. You must designate the agent in writing using this form.

Dropping Off a Voted Ballot
Voted mail-in or absentee ballots can be dropped off at our office: 130 North Pitt Street, Suite B, Mercer, 16137 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Under Pennsylvania law, a person can only drop off their own ballot. You cannot drop off a ballot for anyone else, including your spouse, child, partner, parent, or neighbor.
