The Act defines an “eligible organization” as “a charitable, religious, fraternal or veterans’ organization, club, club licensee or civic and service association. In order to qualify as an eligible organization for the purposes of this act, an organization must be in existence and fulfilling its purposes for one year prior to the date of application for a license.”
Games of Chance include the following:
• Punchboards
• Daily/Weekly Drawings
• 50/50 Drawings
• Raffles (including basket raffles or “Chinese Auctions”)
• Tavern Games
• Pools
• Race Night Games (Commonly referred to as “Night at the Races”)
• Pull Tabs
Anything else is NOT covered by a Small Games of Chance license.
Licenses can be for 1 year from the date of purchase for $125 or 30 days only for $25. Applications must be filled out in their entirety and signed in front of a notary by the President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer of the organization.
